The device can be quickly and easily expanded using a plug‑on extension module, adding an Ethernet interface, two residual‑current inputs, a temperature input, and a fourth current input. When the Ethernet module is used, additional connection options become available for integrating up to 30 simple MID energy meters as slave devices, such as the B23 312‑10J.
