The SolarEdge power optimizer for commercial installations is a DC/DC converter that is connected on‑site to two PV modules at a time.
By using optimizers, power losses caused by mismatches — for example due to shading, soiling, or aging of mono‑ or bifacial modules — are avoided, enabling higher energy production. Thanks to remote monitoring at module level, EPCs as well as operations and maintenance teams can easily track system performance and locate and resolve issues with maximum accuracy. And with the innovative, integrated SafeDC™ function, high DC voltages are reduced to touch‑safe levels when the inverter or the grid is shut down.
