The GoodWe ESA three‑phase series with 5 to 30 kW is a modern all‑in‑one energy storage system designed for residential and light commercial applications. It combines a powerful three‑phase hybrid inverter with a modular high‑voltage battery system, creating a compact and highly flexible solution for reliable and efficient energy management. A major advantage is the ability to combine 5 and 8 kWh battery modules, allowing existing installations to be expanded easily and enabling the total storage capacity to be scaled up to 108 kWh according to the user’s needs.
Depending on the inverter size, the ESA offers three or four MPPT trackers, making it well suited for complex roof layouts, varying orientations or partial shading. Its rapid backup capability ensures uninterrupted operation during grid outages, with a switching time of less than four milliseconds. The integrated AC backup output allows dedicated circuits or larger loads to be supplied reliably when the grid is down.
Safety and performance are ensured through a comprehensive protection concept that includes battery heating, aerosol fire protection and multi‑level monitoring at cell, module and system level. This guarantees dependable operation even under low‑temperature conditions. Installation is simplified by the vertically stackable battery design, which requires minimal additional mounting effort. Another significant benefit is the integrated smart meter, which further streamlines commissioning and provides precise real‑time measurement for both installers and system operators.
The GoodWe ESA integrates seamlessly into existing PV systems and can operate alongside GoodWe on‑grid inverters as well as third‑party solutions. Combined with the EzManager3000, it enables intelligent system control and optimization of PV generation, consumption and storage behavior – maximizing self‑sufficiency and ensuring long‑term energy reliability.
