The SMA Backup 3P Kit is a powerful, automatic backup solution for the single-phase hybrid inverter Sunny Boy Smart Energy in combination with a battery.
The Backup 3P Kit is installed in the meter cabinet. In the event of a grid failure, the Sunny Boy Smart Energy in this system then supplies the single-phase loads in all three household phases. Thanks to the advanced phase coupling patented by SMA, the Backup 3p Kit can support high single-phase loads on each phase, although three-phase devices are excluded.
Thanks to the automatic switching mechanism, which enables a quick transition between mains and emergency power supply, important systems can run without interruption. It is also very efficient: in grid-connected mode, the system consumes less than 1 W.
