The charging solution can be put into operation and operated easily using the Solar.wattpilot app. It also offers users a visually attractive overview of charge status. The app is the only user interface needed to operate all functions in a very simple and clear way.

A charging solution must be able to follow the sun: If a lot of solar energy is available, a lot of power is charged, if only a little is available, only a little is charged. The Fronius Wattpilot can evaluate the photovoltaic surplus optimally and controls it in 1-amp steps up to maximum charging power.

The Fronius Wattpilot can change between single-phase and three-phase charging. This means that the entire photovoltaic surplus of 1.38 kW to 22 kW is used. Charging takes place in amp steps, switchover between single-phase and three-phase takes place fully automatically.

The Wattpilot also has two different charge modes, the Eco and the Next Trip mode. Depending on the situation, the electric vehicle is charged either very economically or specifically with the required amount of energy for the next planned trip. Eco mode is ideal for photovoltaic system owners because it combines photovoltaic surplus charging. With Next Trip mode, the car is charged with energy for a concrete route.
